*Why a House System?*
A House System is more than a structure for competitions – it’s the heart of school culture. It creates a sense of belonging, encourages healthy competition, and builds camaraderie across age groups. Through houses, students learn teamwork, leadership, responsibility, and resilience in a supportive environment. It gives every child an identity within the larger school community and a platform to discover and showcase their talents beyond academics.
At Imperial City School, our House System is inspired by the COSMOS – vast, radiant, and full of possibility. Each house is named after a celestial body or phenomenon, representing a unique set of qualities we aim to cultivate in our students.
*Our Four Houses*
1. COSMOS HOUSE– The Infinite Universe
Colour: Deep Royal Blue
Motto -“Exploring Infinity, Discovering Potential.”_
Represents: Curiosity, Knowledge, and Vision
Cosmos symbolizes the vastness of learning and the endless potential within each student. This house stands for thinkers, innovators, and dreamers who dare to look beyond boundaries. Students in Cosmos are encouraged to question, explore, and push the limits of imagination and intellect.
2. NOVA HOUSE – The Bright Explosion
Colour: Fiery Red
Motto: -“Shining Bright, Illuminating Futures"
Represents: Energy, Creativity, and Courage
A Nova is a star that suddenly increases its brightness, illuminating the darkness. Nova House represents boldness, creativity, and the spirit to stand out. It’s for students who bring energy to every field – arts, sports, or academics – and inspire others with their passion and enthusiasm.
3. PULSAR HOUSE – The Steady Rhythm
Colour: Emerald Green
Motto- -“Beating Strong, Pulsating Excellence."
Represents: Discipline, Determination, and Consistency
A Pulsar is a neutron star that emits precise, rhythmic pulses of radiation – a symbol of reliability and focus. Pulsar House embodies discipline, steady effort, and unwavering determination. Students here learn that consistent hard work and self-discipline are the true paths to lasting success.
4. STELLA HOUSE – _The Guiding Star_
Colour: Yellow
Motto: “Shining with Excellence, Guiding with Purpose”_
Represents:Leadership, Compassion, and Integrity
Stella, meaning ‘star’ in Latin, has guided travelers for centuries. Stella House stands for leadership with empathy and integrity. It represents students who take responsibility, support others, and lead by example with kindness and fairness.
